Candles for MLK
On Wednesday evening, Mississippi ßÙÁ¨´«Ã½ students gathered in front of the Y.M.C.A. Building, listened to a reading of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, sang spiritual songs and participated in a civil rights march by candlelight. The activity, sponsored by the Black Student Association, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and Holmes Cultural Diversity Center, was only one of Mississippi ßÙÁ¨´«Ã½'s many memorials held this week to commemorate the life and ideals of King.
